In more detail

Is Booster RH FERPA compliant?

Booster clubs are parent-run nonprofits, not schools, and Booster RH doesn't connect to a school's student information system, gradebook or records. A student appears only as a name, a grade and their clubs, typed in by their own parent or a club administrator. If your district reviews vendors under a student data privacy agreement, send it with your demo request and we'll go through it with you.

What about COPPA and children under 13?

Booster RH is not intended for children under 13. Most students have no login at all and the service doesn't message them. The one exception is a student leader invited by the board to a specific email address, and a club must not invite a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we'll delete it and their information.

Do you sell or share data?

No. We don't sell or rent data, we don't build advertising profiles and we don't track people across other apps or websites.

Where is the data, and who can see it?

Club records and files are stored in Supabase in the United States. Row-level security means a signed-in account reaches only the clubs it belongs to, uploaded files are served through links that expire, and traffic is encrypted with TLS. Inside a club, only the officers you give money access can change the books.

Does the AI assistant train on our data?

No. Macy sends your question and the club data needed to answer it to Anthropic's Claude API through our own server. Anthropic processes the request and does not use it to train models. Macy only sees the club you're working in, and nothing Macy drafts is saved until a person approves it.

Does money pass through Booster RH?

No. Card payments are not live. Clubs collect by cash, check or their own Venmo, and Booster RH records it. We take 0% and we can't move a club's money.

Do you run background checks on volunteers?

No. No screening provider is connected and no background check can be run through Booster RH today.

Who is behind Booster RH?

Booster RH is built and operated by Dr. Hines Inc., a company based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A school or district that writes to us talks to the people who build the product.

What we don't have yet

  • Third-party security certifications. We don't have a SOC 2 report.
  • Native apps in the app stores. Booster RH runs in the phone's browser today; the native apps are in review.
  • Card payments. Clubs record cash, checks and Venmo; we don't process cards yet.

We'd rather you read it here than find it in a review.
